Winter 2016 Favorites

Hello Beauties!

It’s been a while so I’ve got a lot of favorites to share and figured I might as well make it a Winter favorites since the last one I posted was back in August. Today also happens to be the first official day of Winter, so here we go!

Getting the party started:

Ouai “Repair” Conditioner — $26

I’ve been hearing so much noise about this being such a great hairline and my usual conditioner was all gone so this was perfect timing to try out. Not only does this have an amazing scent, but also really left my hair extremely soft and easy to manage. Which doesn’t happen much, given my course texture. My hair was smooth, light, bouncy, shiny. I LOVE IT!

Lush Shower Gel “It’s Raining Men” — $9.99 – $29.99

This one is a little pricey given the price per portion, so I tried out the little one and was very impressed. Amazing scent, left my skin feeling silky smooth. I’ll by a bigger bottle. Great, but expensive!

L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil — $25

I always rely on this oil in my winter months. This shower oil just quenches the skin and you leave the shower feeling like you left a spa. Love it!

Nuxe Rive de Miel  — $14.25

This makeup remover and facial cleansing gel has an amazing scent! It smells like a honeysuckle bush and took me back to childhood summer days. Smooth, silky and moisturizing, Yes! Although, as for a cleanser, it doesn’t remove all your makeup and I still have to go in afterwards with micellar water and exfoliator to remove and deep cleanse. Still, I highly recommend!

Nars Totally Replenishing Eye Cream — $58

I have dry under eyes and dark circles so I layer on my eye creams at night and in the day. Since I’ve been using this one (about 2 weeks), I’ve noticed more moisture and smoother makeup application. So I’ll be making this one a regular, highly recommended!

GlamGow ThirstyMud Mask— $ 69

I was late on the train for this but I wasn’t ready to commit, given the expensive price range. However, thanks to Sephora and their VIB Rouge $25 holiday coupon, I splurged. It is very moisturizing and I like their suggestion of using all night and even on flights. I think they have travel sizes at Sephora’s check out line, too! Worth investing.

Shiseido White Lucent All Day Brightener — $57

I recently purchased the White Lucent Perfectly Bright Skin Set and really love their moisturizer. This brightener has an SPF 22 and when I layer this over my regular daytime moisturizer, this acts as an amazing primer! Highly recommend!

NARS Velvet Lip –$26

They weren’t kidding with the velvet feeling on these. They say it glides like a gloss and coats like a lipstick. These are highly pigmented and last a long time while nourishing your lips. I love them!

NARSissist Dual Intensity Blush Palette — $59

While they just came out with some new cheek palettes, I’m still glowing from this summer debut. Some folks like matte cheeks, but I like to shimmer even during the winter nights. So this one is more up my alley. Highly recommend!

Cover Fx Illuminating Setting Powder — $32

I am not a fan of the Laura Mercier setting powder. It is drying and I don’t like drying. The Cover Fx one — well — now we are talking my language. This is talc-free product does not feel cakey or drying and it makes my concealer last all day while giving a light sheen. I’m all in!

Tarte Rainforest of The Sea™  Aquacealer Concealer — $26

I like this one better than their Shape Tape, because it is moisturizing and blends so easy. This is light-weight but manages to provide full coverage and blends easily with a beauty blender. The only thing I don’t like is the awful scent of alcohol. Can they please fix that? Recommended.

Mac Viva Glam Lip Palette — $50

I don’t know if it’s easy to get this one, as I found it in one of the Tanger Outlets stores with a bunch of make up products. I fell in love with the way I can custom my winter red / berry lips every day. You can easily layer on a variety of colors and they are highly pigmented so it lasts all day. I Love it!

I even used this for one of my red carpet looks:

Other honorable mentions:

Burberry Eye Color Cream — $30 provides a smooth wash of color over the lid, while Mac’s Spellbinder Eyeshadow Collection — $22 provides high pigmentation for a statement lid. I found these Christina Lashes online for under $13 and it’s a six pack [for a more natural everyday glam].

Do you like these? What are you winter faves?
